Apple is functioning on two new iPads: a ten .8-inch iPad and an 8.5 to 9-inch iPad Mini.
Consistent with Kuo, these two devices are going to be almost like Apple’s recently launched iPhone SE, within the sense that they will have new, fast chips combined with a reasonable price point.
There are not any other specific details about the upcoming iPads, but the screen sizes are a reasonably big deal because the present low-cost iPad features a 10.2-inch display, while the iPad Mini has (and has always had) a 7.9-inch display.
There’s also the likelihood that Apple goes the other way — rather than making the new iPads’ bezels smaller, it could make these devices slightly bigger to accommodate the larger displays.
For the iPad, it wouldn’t matter much, except for the iPad Mini it might be a disaster because its portability and practicality is kind of its entire point
Either way, it’s gonna be quite waiting before we see them. Kuo says the new iPad is coming within the last half of 2020, while the iPad Mini should arrive within the half of 2021.
The iPad Mini was last refreshed in 2019 with Apple’s A12 Bionic chip and Pencil support, but its screen size, also as overall design, remained an equivalent as before.
In other news, Kuo also said that Apple’s augmented reality headset, which has been postponed a minimum of thousand times, is coming in 2022 at the earliest.
